Hello, everyone! This is the start of my new blog.
The topics will mainly be centered around programming for the web. I hope to cover a wide range of topics around web applications, including backend techniques, frontend tips, and even things like deployment and monitoring.
I’m not, however, exclusively familiar with just those languages, and I am constantly exploring other languages and tools to further my understanding and expand my skillset. As of this blog post, I’m playing around with Elixir and Phoenix, which offer amazing benefits to the performance and strength of web applications by using the tried-and-true Erlang Virtual Machine.
As for this blog, I decided to go with the static-site-generating Hugo. I like the fact that it comes in a single binary, as I didn’t require the amount of customization that something like Jekyll would offer.
I also found Hugo’s quickstart guide very easy to understand, and I had a themed and lightly personalized site in less than 5 minutes.
Thank you for checking out my blog! There’s useful content on the way.
